Keith Dudgeon is a very highly rated young seamer from Johannesburg. A 1st XI player for Parktown Boys High at 14 and a Premier League debutant for Glenvista CC in the Gauteng Premier League at the same age, Keith has been targeted for a rapid rise from a young age. A Gauteng age group representative from U11, Keith has been a constant strike force with the new ball for his province. He made the switch to the Dolphins Franchise for summer 2017-18 seeking regular Franchise cricket.

Since making his First Class debut at the age of 18 in October 2014, Keith has had a sporadic start to his career with University commitments impacting seasons 2014-15 & 2015-16. However, in the limited opportunities that have arisen, Keith has continued his reign of terror on Provincial batsmen, collecting 52 provincial wickets in just 20 fixtures across all formats. In season 2015-16, Keith really made his mark, with 31 FC wickets @ 22.45 including best figures of 6-36 against Northerns in November 2015. Combine this with a stellar showing for the USSA XI in winter 2016, which included 15 wickets in just 6 games, Keith is shaping up to be one of the most promising young quicks in the country.

Keith had his first UK stint in summer 2018, joining Hucknall CC in the ECB Notts Premier League. Despite being cut-short by an early call to return home for Provincial commitments. In 23 games, he collected 42 wickets @ 23.19 with a best of 4-45 with his skipper commenting his figures simply don’t do his performance justice.

He returned in 2022, joining CIYMS CC in the Northern Cricket Union and was outstanding as the club won trophy after trophy. His 31 wickets @ 17.38 and 358 runs @ 32.54 were an excellent contribution to the club’s success in the summer.

Capable of contributing late order runs, Keith will be a very popular choice for UK/EU clubs for next summer and is seeking to join a quality club that enjoy themselves off the field as well as on it. Keith will be travelling with his wife.
