Kevin D'Almeida

Kevin D’Almeida is a destructive top order Batsman that has played at the highest level in both India and Sri Lanka. A classy Left-hander, Kevin represented various Mumbai representative sides before making a couple if Ranji Trophy appearances in an absolutely stacked Mumbai side, debuting along 7 Internationals. He also bowls some tidy but occasional Right-arm Off Spin.

Having been prolific in Semi-professional cricket, Kevin’s opportunities in India were limited with the Mumbai side being such a powerhouse but his performances for MIG CC in the Mumbai Premier League always kept him in the mix, with a great love of scoring hundreds keep his name in the frame.

Kevin headed to the UK for the first time in 2022, linking with Whitburn Cricket Club in the ECB North East Premier League as an amateur cricketer, having been out of the Professional game for some time. His return in one of the UK’s strongest leagues was excellent, with 445 runs @ 40.45 with 2 league hundreds.

This solid first UK summer caught the eye of a couple of overseas professionals from Sri Lanka and Kevin was invited to take an opportunity in Sri Lankan Domestic cricket, invited to play as an overseas professional for Negombo in the 2022-23 Major League Tournament.

Kevin returned to the UK in summer 2023, joining Egerton CC in the GMCL Premier League and was excellent, scoring 1045 runs @ 43.54 with a best of 165* (114) against Heyside CC. He also chimed in with 20 wickets @ 21.25. He returned in 2024, joining Southport & Birkdale CC in the ECB Liverpool Premier League. Scoring 600+ runs in one of the country’s best leagues but it was a tough season for the side who battled all the way.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Kevin will be an excellent pick up for any UK club needing a top order gun.
