Kobe Herft

Kobe Herft is a talented young Top Order Batsman and Off-Spinner, based in Melbourne, Australia. An attacking opener, Kobe is currently playing First Grade in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition for Prahran Cricket Club. He also represents the Chennai Braves in the Abu Dhabi T10.

Growing up on the beautiful Gold Coast in Australia, Kobe was schooled at The Southport School and played his cricket locally as a junior before commencing was has really been a varied cricketing journey, taking him all over the globe.

Kobe has spent time playing in Brisbane with Western Suburbs DCC, Mosman DCC in Sydney, Melbourne CC before landing at Prahran CC for the 2022-23 season. In his off seasons, he’s spent time in the UK with short stays at Brondesbury CC, Richmond CC as well as South Hampstead CC before landing at West Bromwich Dartmouth CC for the 2022 summer.

A strong showing for West Brom with 725 runs @ 40.28 with a sublime best of 150* (141) as he led the club home chasing down Lichfield’s 235. His performance caught the eye of Warwickshire CCC and he was called up for the County 2nd XI side to play Lancashire at Chester, scoring 59 (80). In late 2022, Kobe debuted for the Chennai Braves against the Deccan Gladiators.

Seeking a return to the UK in summer 2023, Kobe is looking to capitalise on a positive last 12 months by joining a strong Premier League club that requires an attacking top order batsman that bowls some tidy off-spin. Kobe is keen to explore opportunities with counties during the summer having had a taste of it in 2022.
