Kosala Ravindu is a talented young cricketer from Payagala in Sri Lanka. A right-handed Opening Batsman, Kosala is also a tidy Right-arm Spinner who is currently representing Kalutara Town Club in the Sri Lankan domestic competitions.
Kosala made his T20 debut in January 2020, for Badureliya Sports Club in the 2019–20 SLC Twenty20 Tournament. His first-class debut followed in August the same year for Badureliya Sports Club in the 2019–20 Premier League Tournament. Kosala’s One-Day debut came in March 2021 after a switch to Panadura Sports Club in the 2020–21 Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament.
Limited success saw his opportunities limited but a strong U23 campaign for Panadura in 2022, with 250 runs & 6 wickets in 5 games, his 218-ball 156 against his old club opened up a chance with KTC in the 2022 Domestic tournament, making 5 appearances with a top score of 75 against Galle CC.
Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, Kosala will be a good pick up for a club seeking a young all-rounder for next summer looking to make his mark in the UK.
