Kyle Jacobs

Kyle Jacobs is an skillful all-rounder originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. A crafty spinner that can bowl both Right-arm Leg & Off Spin, Kyle is a high-quality Right-hander that can bat anywhere in the top order. He was schooled at Pearson High School and studied at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) and comes from a sporting family with his grandfather a local sporting legend across both Cricket and Soccer.

Carving his own path, Kyle was a regular feature for Eastern Province throughout the age groups and played alongside Proteas, Matthew Breetzke and Lutho Sipamla, at the 2015-16 Khaya Majola Coke Week. After completing his schooling, he opted to study and was heavily involved in the Warriors Academy and NMMU Cricket programs throughout. Having completed his studies, Kyle took a chance to link with Border in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, making his First Class and List A debuts.

He returned to Eastern Province post-COVID, making a handful of appearances between 2021-23 before finding what has become a very happy home in Oudtshoorn with South Western Districts. Playing his best red-ball cricket with the bat and becoming a quality all-round contributor in white-ball cricket, with his mix of Leg & Off Spin proving to be increasingly effective.

Kyle has had three seasons of UK experience to date, with all three seasons spent in Scotland with Falkland CC in the Eastern Premiership.

Keen to return to the UK next summer, Kyle will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a Top Order batsman that can contribute with the ball next summer. Kyle is a Cricket South Africa Level One coach.
