Lahiru Jayarathne

Lahiru Jayarathne is a very experienced seam-bowling all-rounder from Sri Lanka. A capable right-handed middle order batsman, Lahiru’s main discipline is his Right-arm Medium/Fast bowling. Whilst not prolific, Lahiru has four First Class half-centuries to his name and almost 140 professional wickets.

In a career that has spanned the best part of the last decade, starting with Sri Lanka U19’s and at one point culminating in a number of appearances for Sri Lanka A, Lahiru has been a constant on the Sri Lankan domestic scene with white-ball cricket taking prevalence over the latter part of his career.

With a wealth of professional experience behind him, Lahiru is now seeking his first season in the UK in 2022 and will be a good pick up for any UK club seeking a seam-bowling all-rounder that has the ability to be a real game changer this summer.
