Lakshan Edirisinghe

Lakshan is a proven and quality performer currently playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka for Galle CC. With a wealth of experience under his belt with over 150 first class games over all formats.
Lakshan started his professional career at SL Army Sports Club where he was a loyal servant for over 10 years. He is one of those players that gets better with age which is evident as in the 2022/23 First Class season he scored 1105 runs finishing with an average of 46.04 which included 5 centuries and 3 half-centuries. During the List A season in that same year, he scored 483 runs with an average of 40.25, featuring 5 half-centuries. In 2023, he was selected by Dambulla Aura in the Lanka Premier League.

The elegant left-hander displays remarkable skill and composure at the crease, comfortable facing any type of bowling, with a particular affinity for spin bowling. Lakshan knows his game well which enables him play a key anchor role ensuring he produces a big score for his team. With his off-spinners, Lakshan proves to be a valuable asset, he can be relied upon to contain the opposition while building pressure leading to wickets.
