Larvet Masunda is a late-blooming Batsman and occasional Wicketkeeper from Chitungwiza in Harare’s southern suburbs. A patient Left-hander who didn’t enter the professional game until he was 23, he has been one of the most improved batsmen in the Zimbabwean domestic system over the 2022-24 period.

Having debuted for the Eagles in summer 2015-16, Larvet spent the 2016 winter in England, joining Halstead CC in the Two Counties Championship, scoring 733 runs @ 34.90 and chipping in with a handful of wickets and dismissals when required to take the gloves.

On his return, he plied his trade in club cricket and making only sporadic appearances in First Class & List A Cricket over next few year due to indifferent form but that changed throughout the 2022-23 summer.

His patience with his own game and confidence in his technique and preparation saw Larvet put together performances that his coaches and Franchise always knew he was capable of. A spike in his performances have seen him average 30+ in red-ball cricket in the 2022-23 & 2023-24 seasons.

Seeking a return to the UK in 2024, Larvet will be a great pick up for any UK club seeking a very capable left-handed Top Order Batsman that can take the gloves if required for next summer.
