Lewis O’Donnell is an incredibly talented Scottish-qualified, seam-bowling all-rounder. A hard-hitting Right-handed Batsman that can bat anywhere in the lower middle order, he is a clean striker of the ball that is working hard to develop this side of his game. A genuine athlete in the field, Lewis’ dominant skill is by far and away his Right-arm Fast seam bowling though. With a smooth, Brett Lee-like action, Lewis generates genuine pace from his athletic frame with an uncomplicated front-on action that on quicker decks is a genuine handful. Lewis has represented Scotland A and the Scottish XI that have contested the European Cricket T10 championships.

Born in North Yorkshire, he originally played his first senior cricket with North Stainley CC in the Nidderdale league, aged just 13. At 16 he switched to Yorkshire North powerhouse, Harrogate CC, making his 1st XI debut in 2019 as a 17-year-old. Lewis represent Yorkshire through the age groups and the North of England side at the Bunbury festival.

He went on to study at Durham UCCE, playing against a number of counties whilst doing his degree and played Premier League cricket for Willington CC in the North East Premier League until the end of the 2023 season before heading out to Australia to join Port Melbourne CC, bagging 40 wickets @ 15.33 in a very successful antipodean summer and being named in the Sub-District team of the year.

On his return, Lewis ventured to Scotland in 2024 to join Carlton CC in the Eastern Premier League and be local to the Scotland set up. His performance was exceptional, bagging 65 wickets in all competitions @ 13.65 with a best of 6-22 against West if Scotland in the Scottish National Cup. In September 2024, Lewis relocated to London complete his Masters and where he will be based for the forseeable future.

His representative cricket performances have been excellent and no full national team representation is quite surprising, having been the leading wicket-taker in the country and bagging two 4 wicket hauls against full strength UAE and USA sides as well as a 3 for against Oman. In his 17 T10 European Cricket Championship appearances for the Scotland XI, he’s collected 20 wickets @ 18.25.
