Liam Blackford is an incredibly talented Wicketkeeper/Batsman from Geelong just outside Melbourne. A classy left‑handed wicket‑keeper batter who joined the Victorian squad on a rookie contract ahead of the 2023–24 season, he’s represented Geelong in the Victorian Premier Cricket since he was a junior.
A former Australia Under‑19 representative, he impressed on the international youth stage with a top score of 106 and a solid average of 43.33 in Youth Tests. Known for his reliable glovework and promising batting technique, Blackford has earned selection among a competitive Vics lineup that blends seasoned campaigners with rising talent. Liam is considered a bright prospect in Victoria’s cricketing pathway and is primed for a debut in 2025-26.
His performances for the Bushrangers in their pathways have been excellent with 800+ runs for Vic 2nd XI/Stars Academy over the 2023-24 & 2024-25 seasons.
Seeking his first season in the Northern Hemisphere in 2026, Liam will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a high-quality left-hander for the top of the order that can take the gloves next summer.
