Lifa Ntanzi is a raw fast bowling prospect from Umlazi, South Africa. A lower order Right-handed batsman, his dominant skill is his Right-arm Fast bowling, which at consistently around 90mph, is quite the handful. A tall and athletic young man, Lifa is one of the brightest seam prospects in South Africa and is downright nasty to face with awkward bounce and scary pace.

A limited youth career didn’t stop Lifa from being selected not only for KwaZulu Natal U19 side but the South African Schools side. Selection for the South African U19 side followed with his genuine pace a threat and talent too good to ignore.

Lifa first appeared at the professional level for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup. His 50-over debut came towards the end of that summer in March 2020 for the Dolphins in the Momentum One Day Cup and a first-class debut came the following summer.

In April 2021, Lifa was named in the South Africa Emerging Men’s squad for their six-match tour of Namibia, sealing what had been a rapid rise from raw talent to representing his country in less than a dozen professional games.

Whilst a late bloomer Lifa has had a number of injury setbacks, which have come at the most inconvenient junctures of his career but after missing most of the last three summers, he is fit and firing with eyes on a place in the SWD side for the 2024-25 summer
