Luke Marillier

From a big cricket family, 17-year old Luke Marillier is a young seam-bowling allrounder from Harare, Zimbabwe. An attacking, right-handed top/middle order batsman, Luke is also a Left-arm Medium/Fast seamer. Luke’s grandfather and uncles all played first class cricket but his dad, Dougie, went one better and represented Zimbabwe on 50+ occasions no less, so Luke becoming a talented young cricketer surprises nobody. Keen to care his own path, Luke holds and is looking to make use of his Irish Passport.

Schooled at one of Zimbabwe’s best school, Peterhouse, Luke represented the school’s 1st XI, playing an important dual-skill role. Scoring 1252 runs and nabbing 42 wickets in his final year of school cricket, with a standout performance of 5-28 against Falcon College, he’d previously won the best batsman award for the St Georges T20 in 2024 and was the PHS player of the tour on their 2025 tour to Radley College.

Whilst finishing up his schooling, Luke joined the stacked-out SOGO Rangers Cricket Club, playing in their 2nd XI and being coached by former Zimbabwe, Western Australia & Hampshire all-rounder, Sean Ervine.

With school out of the way, Luke is seeking his first season abroad in 2026. A keen young cricketer that has the benefit of an Irish passport, Luke will be a handy pick up for any club seeking a young all-rounder looking to make his way in the adult cricket world from next summer.
