Matthew Pollard

Matthew Pollard is a highly-rated All-rounder from Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. A tall, aggressive, Right-arm Fast/Medium seamer, Matthew is also a clean-hitting middle order right-handed Batsman that attended the prestigious Westville Boys High School.

A standout at age group level, Matthew was a regular feature for the Kwa-Zulu Natal age group sides from his mid-teens through to the U19 side that contested the 2018 Cricket South Africa Khaya Majola Coke Week. He remained in the KZN system and was selected for the Dolphins Academy and ultimately the senior province, debuting for KZN against South Western Districts in October 2019.

A genuine wicket-taker, Matthew showed his ability to be a reliable contributor with the ball, picking up 12 wickets @ 17.33 in his first 6 professional games with excellent economy across both the red & white ball formats. He has also chipped in with valuable runs for the province and puts a high price on his wicket.

Seeking his first season abroad in 2023, Matthew will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a genuine new ball threat that can take the game away from the opposition with the bat as well.
