MD Nidheesh

MD is a top draw and experienced fast bowler currently playing first class cricket for the powerful Kerala state team. He made his first class debut in the 2014-15 season. In the same season he was selected in the BCCI’s fast bowlers camp held at MRF pace foundation in Chennai. In the 2017-18 season he was the highest wicket taker for Kerala with 14 wickets in 6 matches. In the same year he made his debut in the Vijay Hazare trophy taking 9 wickets in 4 matches.

In the 2018 season he was picked up by the Mumbai Indians for the IPL. He really enjoyed being part of the team learning so much from the likes of New Zealand former fast bowling star Shane Bond and Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga. In the 2018-19 season he was a major part of Kerala’s side that made the semi final’s taking 15 wickets in 5 matches. In the 2019-20 season his impressive performances continued taking 17 wickets in 4 matches including two 5 wicket hauls.

In his first season in the UK, MD joined Radlett CC in the ECB Herts Prem, bagging 31 wickets @ 15.16 including a best of 6-49 but his trip was cut short through to a bereavement.

His bowling style is perfect for UK conditions, with natural swing and good pace. He is also a more than useful lower order batsman who has shown he can deliver in the UK.
