Minod Bhanuka

Minod Bhanuka is one of Sri Lankan Cricket’s brightest talents. A classy Left-handed Wicketkeeper/Batsman, Minod has been one of the most prolific domestic performers over the the last decade since his 2014 debut. An attacking Top Order batsman that can bat anywhere from 1-4, Minod scores quickly and scores big with a real penchant for big hundreds.

An old boy of Maliyadeva College, which has produced a number of International Cricketers, Minod was part of Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and by the end of the following summer, had made his professional debuts across all three formats. In summer 2015–16, during the Premier League Tournament Minod struck an incredible 342 off just 320 balls for Sinhalese SC against Badureliya SC. In all, he’s struck 19 hundreds across both red and white ball cricket.

Off the back of outstanding domestic form, Minod was named in Sri Lanka’s squads for the series against Pakistan in Pakistan in 2019, making his ODI & T20I debuts in October 2019. The following year, Minod was selected in Sri Lanka’s Test squad for their series against South Africa, making his debut in Jan 2021

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, Minod joined Tickhill CC in the ECB Yorkshire South Premier League, scoring 1103 runs @ 40.85.

Minod will be a fantastic pick up for any club seeking an International top order batsman for next summer. Minod will be travelling with his wife and is available all summer.
