Muhammad Ayub

Muhammad Ayub is a classy former Test & First Class All-Rounder from Pakistan but a long-term resident and British Citizen, based in Oxford. A Right-handed Top Order Batsman and Right-arm off Spinner, Ayub was an exceptional performer in the Pakistan Domestic System for many years, playing over 200 professional games in the CB domestic competitions.

An exceptional domestic career saw him earn a test cap, against Sri Lanka in 2012. His 7000+ First Class runs at 41.16 is a very impressive career return to go with 2000+ white ball runs, although the longer format is where he always did his best work.

One of the most experienced overseas professionals in UK Club cricket over the last 20 years, Ayub has pummelled runs wherever he’s been, with over 11,000 club cricket runs and 250+ wickets in what has been a stellar career.

Having missed the 2023 season for Hajj, Ayub is seeking a club based West of London, close to home, as he resides in the Oxford area and has done for many years, sitting in the top 50 run scorers in the Home Counties League of all time.

Ayub joined Theale & Tilehurst CC for the 2024 summer, scoring 584 runs @ 41.71, helping them to a 3rd place finish.

With plenty to offer a club with bat and ball, Ayub will be an excellent pick up for any club in the region seeking a rock solid top order batsman that can contribute with the ball.
