Munashe Chimusoro

Munashe Chimusoro is an emerging talent from Zimbabwe. A silky gloveman, Munashe is regarded as one of the best young ‘keepers in the Country. The fact he is also a dynamic middle order batsman that is more than capable of holding his own in any side as a batsman, is a bonus. Schooled at Christian Brothers College (CBC) in Bulawayo, he starred for the school.

A Bulawayo junior, he came through the Tuskers system and was selected for the Zimbabwe U19 side off the back of his performances for the Franchise as well as for the Queens Sports Club. Munashe was named in the 2024 ICC Under 19 World Cup Squad for Zimbabwe, for the South Africa-hosted tournament, making one appearance against England.

Prior to this Munashe had already made his First Class debut, as a 17-year old for the Tuskers against the Mountaineers in March 2023. Entrusted to bat at 4 for the Tuskers, he did so amongst a cast of capped team mates, showing the hope the Tuskers have for the youngster. Whilst it wasn’t the start to professional cricket he would have liked, he only had to wait a couple of summers to get another crack and in summer 2025-26, he got off to a great start in the 50-over competition, scoring two half centuries in the first 3 games against the Eagles and the Rocks.

Seeking his first summer abroad in 2026, Munashe will be a handy pick up for any club seeking a talented young Wicketkeeper/Batsman for next summer that has lots of upward curve. A hard worker and keen coach, Munashe is eager to be involved in all aspects of club life next summer.
