Nathan Roux

Nathan Roux is a talented Wicket-Keeper/Batsman, originally from the Border Province. A star for his native Border throughout the age groups, from U13 through to U19, representing the province at two Khaya Majola Coke Weeks between 2015-2017.

He relocated to the Free State to study and during his time at the University of Free State, pushed his way into the VKB Knights Academy system. Following a couple of impressive knocks, he was handed his professional debut, scoring a patient 63 against an accomplished Western Province attack.

He’d go on to represent the Free State 10 times over the next couple of seasons and after the end of the 2023-24 summer, he was given an opportunity to return to where it all began, his native Border Province, on a one year deal but with outstanding prospects of meaningful game time.

Ahead of his return home, Nathan headed north to England for the 2024 winter, joining Torquay & Kingskerswell CC in the Devon League. He was incredible, scoring 894 runs @ 89.40 with a best of 134*, scoring 3 tons and half a dozen 50’s.

Seeking a return to the UK, Nathan will be a fantastic pick up for any club needing top order reinforcement and a very capable gloveman that has shown he can deliver in UK conditions.
