Nathaniel Hlabangana

Nathaniel Hlabangana is one of Zimbabwe’s brightest young batting talents. A hard-hitting Right-hander from Harare, Nathaniel is also a capable wicket-keeper that has been a part of the Zimbabwe pathways system for a number of years. He attended Falcon College and was a star for the school throughout his time in the 1st XI.

Having been a schoolboy star, he was first selected for a Zimbabwe U19 as a 16 year old and was picked in the 2024 ICC Under-19 World Cup squad, making three appearances. In late 2024, Nathaniel was picked in the Zimbabwe Emerging players squad to take on South Africa and he was the Chevrons leading run-scorer, with 150 runs in 4 bats.

2025 saw Nathaniel again feature heavily for the U19 side, selected for the U19 Tri-Series against the Proteas & Bangladesh, finishing the series as Zimbabwe’s leading run scorer again, with 164 runs @ 32.80 in what was a tough tournament for the hosts and no doubt was the first name on the team sheet for the 2026 ICC Under 19 World Cup in South Africa.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2026, Nathaniel will be a great pick up for a club seeking a young up and comer for the summer that can take the gloves as well be a top order contributor.
