Nikith Perera is one of Auckland & New Zealand’s brightest young spin-bowling prospects. A capable Right-hander suited to the middle/lower order, Nikith is a clever and attacking Slow Left-arm Orthodox Spinner that has featured in the various Auckland Age-based representative sides as he progressed through the Aces’ pathway systems.
Currently representing Parnell CC in the Auckland Premier Cricket Competition, for whom he has been a standout, Nikith has more recently been a regular sight in the Auckland A side. Off the back of his performances for the club in 2021-22, with 34 wickets @ 16.85, his selection for higher honours were only a matter of time considering he’d been a standout for the U19 team in the previous summer.
Seeking his first season abroad, Nikith comes highly recommended by those in the know in New Zealand and will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a genuine spin-bowling all-rounder for the summer.
