Nipun is a talented bowling allrounder currently playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka for Ragama CC. After a fantastic school career Nipun has played for all age groups for Sri Lanka, starting at Under 15 level where he represented the Sri Lankan school team for the tour of Malaysia. In 2017 he played for the Sri Lanka under 19 team for the tour of Australia. He then represented the Under 19 board team for the tour of India. In 2018 he was selected in the Sri Lanka world cup tour of New Zealand.
Nipun is a very clever bowler who bowls with good pace and variation. He is a more than capable left hand batsman who can apply himself well to all situations at the crease. In 2025 Nipun ventured to the Uk for his first stint in the uk playing for Longton CC in the Nprth Staffs and South Cheshire premier league, where he took 38 wickets at 17.48 and chipped in with 253 runs. He is looking to return for 2026. He is available all season and represnts a fantastic allround option.
