Oshane Thomas is a strapping Jamaican Fast Bowler that has represented the West Indies across both white-ball formats since his debut in India in late 2018. At 6ft 6in and with raw pace, Oshane is a fearsome sight at the top pf his run and it’s an exciting thought to think he could grace the club cricket world this summer.
Oshane made his international debut in an ODI vs India in October 2018, picking up Shikhar Dhawan in his 2nd over. His T20 debut followed on the same tour, picking up 2-21 including Rohit Sharma and Dhawan again. Cricket West Indies named him as the Emerging Player of the Year in the 12 months that followed. He’s gone on to make 40 International appearances since his debut.
Having made his first-class debut for Jamaica in the 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition in 2016, Oshane was also picked up by the Jamaica Tallawahs in the 2016 CPL and was retained by the Franchise for the 2017 Edition. His One-Day debut followed in the 2017–18 Regional Super50 in early 2018. In October 2018, he was named in the squad for the Rangpur Riders team, following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League. More franchise cricket followed, with the Rajasthan Royals drafting him for the 2019 IPL.
Not currently in the West Indies squad, Oshane wants to make use of his off season and venture to the UK for the first time in 2023 and will be available until earl-mid August prior to the commencement of the Caribbean Premier League.
A nasty customer with the ball in hand, Oshane will be an outstanding late pick up for any club seeking a high-class seam option for this summer.
