Pasindu Madushan

Pasindu is a high-quality spin-bowling all-rounder from Colombo, Sri Lanka. A right-handed middle/lower order Batsman at First Class level but batting in the top order in Club cricket, his main weapon is his clever off-spin bowling. Pasindu was also a former Sri Lankan U19 player and he made his First Class Debut For Sinhalese Sports Club in 2013.

Having played provincial cricket from U13 to U19 and following a slow start to his Professional career, he ventured to Australia for the 2015-16 season, joining Springvale CC in Melbourne. His impact was immediate, taking 9-46 in his first game and he ended up with 347 runs @ 34.70 and an incredible 43 wickets @ 8.02 in just 10 matches. He returned to Sri Lanka and has not looked back, finding a regular slot in the Kalutara Town CC & Nugegoda First class sides, picking up 80 wickets in the 18 games since his return.

Pasindu joined Lanchester CC in the ECB North East Premier League Div 1 for the 2021 season, his first here in the UK. He gave a very good account of himself, scoring 525 runs @ 35.00 including a season saving 122* at the end of August. He also contributed strongly with the ball, 30 wickets @ 18.37. He returned to LCC in 2022, bagging 64 wickets @ 13.17 with a best of 5-22 and chipping in with 613 runs. He returned in 2023, bagging 60 wickets @ 12.32 and 346 runs, down on his 2022 runs tally but still a contribution to the club’s 3rd place finish.

Summer 2024 saw Pasindu return to LCC again and a further 60+ wicket season ensued, with a couple of hat-tricks during the season, complimented by 969 runs @ 30.28 with a best of 104* was another strong return for the crafty spin bowling all-rounder.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Pasindu will be a good pick up for a club seeking a strike spin bowler that can contribute with the bat when called upon.
