Precious Marange

Precious Marange is an experienced all-round sportsperson from Harare, Zimbabwe. A hard-hitting left-handed top order batter, Precious is additionally a very capable front line off-spinner that has represented Zimbabwe on over 150 occasions. Currently contracted to the Mashonaland Eagles Franchise, Precious has been one of the first names on the Zimbabwe team sheet throughout her career which began in 2006. She cites AB De Villiers as her cricketing idol but remarkably, has represented Zimbabwe in Rugby as well.

An inspiring sporting and life story, Precious should be a role model for any young sportsperson, male or female, proving that hard work really does pay off, having grinded her way through school whilst working to pay for her education.

Having been part of the club cricket set up from age of 21, she debuted for the Zimbabwe National Ladies team in 2008, debuting against Bermuda in the ODI World cup qualifiers held in South Africa. Her first official Women’s ODI match came in 2021 after she had already made her T20I debut in 2019.

Her career has been outstanding and at the time of writing is Zimbabwe’s most successful Women’s bowler in their International history, just ahead of fellow WSX client, Josphine Nkomo.
