Rajeewa Weerasinghe

Rajeewa is a proven first class cricketer currently playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka for Panadura Sports club. After a fantastic school cricketing career he represented Sri Lanka Under 19’s in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Rajeewa made his first class debut in 2006 and since then he has played nearly 200 first class matches in all competitions with 298 first class wickets to his name. He made his first class debut. Over the years he has been had Sri Lankan national pool contracts and has toured numerous times with Sri Lanka development squads.

In the 2017 season he was voted the best allrounder in the premier first class cricket season where he picked up 45 wickets and also chipped in with 250 runs in 7 matches. Rajeewa is a true leader who has captained with success many teams throughout his career at first class level. He is a player that young players look up too and ask advice from on a regular basis. In 2018 he ventured over to the Uk and played for Darlington CC in the strong NYSD permier league taking 55 wickets at 18 a piece and scored 268 runs.

Rajeewa is not only a quality spin bowling allrounder but an excellent coach and someone to have around any club set up. He holds an ECB level 2 coaching badge. He is available for the whole summer. If you are looking for an experienced player/coach then he would be an excellent option.
