Rizwan Hussain is an incredibly talented Batsman, originally from Pakistan but now residing in Worcestershire. A brutal left-hander, Rizwan was a youth star for Lahore and made over 120 professional appearances since his professional debut in 2016. Not a noted bowler, he bowls Right-arm Off Spin on special occasions. Rizwan is an ECB Level 2 coach.

Making his professional debut for Lahore Whites in the 2015-16 National 1-Day Cup, his first class debut followed later that year and in 2019 & 2020, Rizwan was selected for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League. Throughout his career, Rizwan has shown glimpses of the talent he possess with a penchant for big hundreds including a career best First Class score of 253 against Southern Punjab for Central Punjab in November 2021.

With over 120 professional appearances in Pakistan and countless other representative caps, Rizwan is really only just heading into his prime and having spent the last 4 years playing in the Midlands, he’ll look to make the most of his classification as a local.

Having spent the 2021 & 2022 summers with Moddershall & Oulton CC, he pumped out just shy of 1,800 runs with a brutal best of 173 (114) against Sandbach in the Talbot Cup. He joined Ombersley CC for the 2023 summer, scoring 646 runs @ 38 before returning for an ill-fated 2024 summer, which saw him pick up a back injury after a fall whilst batting, cutting his season short with a swift trip back to Pakistan to skip the NHS queues and have correct surgery done straight away.

Now residing in the UK, Rizwan holds a spousal visa and is classed as a local player. Rizwan will surely be a popular pick for any club seeking a prolific top order batsman for next summer that has a proven track record in Premier league cricket.
