Robin is an aggressive Left-handed Opening Batsman & Wicket-Keeper from Durban in South Africa. Having attended Hillcrest High School, where he was on a sports scholarship, Robin showed his all-round sporting prowess by earning his school colours for not only Cricket but also Hockey & Baseball. Robin’s path could have been much different has his brief stint in the US at a baseball clinic panned out differently, especially with his ability to hit both left and right-handed.

Described as a role model amongst his school peers, Robin is a naturally-gifted sportsman who upon completion of his schooling, ventured to the Republic of Ireland in 2015 to join the strong Merrion Cricket Club in the Leinster Cricket Union competition. During the season, he accrued an impressive 726 runs @ 42.71 including a match winning 88* against CSNI in the Irish Senior Cup to secure a place in the Final.

Robin followed up his initial season in the UK with a quality performance for Llandudno CC, ECB North Wales Premier League champions, putting together over 700 runs and providing some magic work behind the stumps with 7 stumpings and 14 catches. He returned to Llandudno again in 2017 and whilst not to the same high standards with the bat as 2016, was exceptional behind the stumps with 26 catches and 9stumpings.

He returned to the UK in summer 2019, joining Langley CC in Cheshire and his imapct was immediate, scoring 107* in game 1. He went on to score 1121 runs @ 70.06 with a best of 136* (96) against Woodford CC.

In summer 2021-22, Robin made his first class debut against North West, a reward for outstanding club form and persistence in pursuing the professional cap he was after.

Albeit a quality keeper, Robin is also a more than capable off-spinner who is also a Cricket South Africa Level Two coach. Seeking a return overseas, Robin will be a great pick up for a UK club seeking an attacking Opening Batsman who can keep wicket or bowl some handy off-spin.
