Rohit Gulati

Rohit Kumar Gulati is an Indian-born New Zealand domestic cricketer currently contracted to the Auckland Aces in the New Zealand Domestic system. A hard-hitting right-hander, Rohit is an exceptional slow left-arm orthodox spin bowler that debuted for Northern Districts but recently represented New Zealand A on their tour to Sri Lanka in 2026.

Born in Beas, Punjab, India, Gulati originally played under-age cricket in Punjab. After recovering from a leg injury, he relocated to New Zealand in 2022 to play club cricket. He made his first-class debut for Northern Districts in March 2025, before moving to Auckland for the 2025/26 season, where his career quickly took off. He made an immediate impact in Auckalnd, taking 27 wickets @ 28.07 in the Plunket Shield, including dismissing legendary Blackcaps batter Kane Williamson for low scores in both innings against Northern Districts and bagging a 10-wicket match haul in the process against his former team

In the Ford Trophy in his first season with the Aces, Rohit picked up 8 wickets at a brilliant average of 18.05 with an exceptionally restrictive economy rate of 2.96. His domestic performances earned him a call-up to the New Zealand A squad for their tour of Sri Lanka in April 2026.

Voted the ACES Players’ Player of the Year at the 2025-26 Auckland Cricket Awards, Rohit is well liked in the dressing room and is one to watch for the future for the Blackcaps.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2026, Rohit will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a strike spinner that we’re sure will bang plenty of runs in the middle order next summer.
