Ryan McElduff is a talented spin-bowling all-rounder from Sydney, Australia. A talented right-arm Off-Spinner, Ryan is also a quality Right-handed Middle Order Batsman that currently represents Sydney University CC in the Sydney Premier Cricket competition. Ryan is also a former New South Wales Under-17 (2016) and Under-19 (2017 & 2018) representative.
Having first been Graded for Gordon DCC in the Sydney Comp as a 14-year old, Ryan shifted to Sydney University CC ahead of the 2015-16 season. Within 12 months he was selected for the NSW U17 side in late 2016 and the next summer, at just 17 was selected in First Grade for Sydney Uni for the first time. Ryan then represented New South Wales at consecutive Australian U19 championships in 2018 & 2019 and has continued to feature exclusively in First Grade ever since.
In 2021, with travel restricted, Ryan headed North to Darwin to link with Nightcliff CC in the Premier Grade competition. He dominated, scoring 663 runs @ 47.36 and collecting 26 wickets @ 25.77. With grade cricket in Sydney delayed, Ryan opted to stay North, joining Valleys DCC in the Brisbane Grade competition for the first 8 games of the summer, continuing his good form with 229 runs/11 wickets until it was time to return to Sydney. He bagged 26 wickets @ 19.50 and scored 329 runs throughout the remainder of the 2021-22 summer with Sydney Uni.
Seeking his first season in the UK in summer 2023, Ryan will be a great pick up for any UK club seeking a genuine spin-bowling all-rounder for next summer. Ryan holds a Cricket Australia Level One coaching qualification and is also fortunate enough to hold a UK Passport as well.
