Sam Greer is another exciting product of the Western Australia production line of seamers that just seems to never end. A big unit, he is a powerfully built young man that is a more than useful lower order batsman with a huge hitting arc. A strong, uncomplicated action, sees Sam bowl with good pace and excellent control.

A standout junior cricketer, Sam has been in around various Western Australia representative sides off the back of his performances for Fremantle District Cricket Club, a club he’s played for since he was a kid with his family long-term club members. Sam was a member of the Australian U19 World Cup squad.

Sam was handed a Western Australia Rookie contract ahead of the 2022-23 domestic season, which was a belter across the board with 46 wickets in 22 matches across the summer. Sam has had his fair share of injury battles, moreso from sheer bad luck rather than bad management. When fit, Sam is a genuine handful and Western Australia have shown their hand with Sam’s inclusion in several extended Sheffield Shield squads.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2025, Sam will be a very popular pick for any UK club seeking a highly skilled seam-bowling all-rounder that benefits from holding a UK passport.
