Saurabh Rawat

Saurabh Rawat is a fine cricketer from Uttarakhand, India. Born in Delhi, the powerful Right-handed Batsman is also a very capable Wicket-Keeper, that like gloveman, can turn his hand to better than useful Right-arm Off Spin. He is contracted to Uttarakhand in Indian Domestic system.

Despite being born in the North, his first meaningful appearances came for Odisha at U19 Level, starring for them in the Vinoo Mankad & Cooch Behar Trophy competitions, earning selection in the East Zone team for the Inter Zone Tournament in 2015-16. He made his professional debut for Odisha before a permanent move to Uttarakhand in 2018.

Saurabh has gone on to play all three formats in India’s domestic competitions but has done his best work in one-day cricket overall with his red-ball form in 2025-26 showing promising signs of an upswing as he enters his prime as a cricketer and looks to re-create his 2018-19 Ranji Trophy Form, which consisted of 593 runs at 59.30 with a double century (220 from 381 balls) against Sikkim his maiden milestone score in the pro game.

His red-ball form dipped after such an impressive season and he was rarely sighted post-COVID but as all the best cricketers do, they fight back when their back is to the wall. Saurabh pushed his way back into the Uttarakhand Ranji Trophy squad as well as the Vijay Hazare one-day side in summer 2025-26, making 11 appearances during the summer.

Seeking his first season in the UK in summer 2026, Saurabh joined ambitious Bishopston CC and was a major contributor to their promotion with 1151 runs and 51 wickets in an outstanding first UK summer

Saurabh will be an excellent pick up for any UK club looking for a high-quality batsman that can either take the gloves or put his Offies to work.
