Shams is one the most highly thought of young Indian cricketers coming through the first class state set up. He has been part of the Mumbai state system from a young age playing through all the youth age groups before finally making his first class debut in 2018 against Railways. In 2018 he was selected for India Under 23 side for the tour of Sri Lanka. In 2018 his impressive displays saw him selected for the India A squad after his performances really impressed Dinesh Karthik. He played for India A against India C in the Deodhar Trophy.

In the 2019-20 season he was Mumbai’s star allrounder in the Ranji Trophy finishing the leading wicket wicket taker with 26 wickets and also was their 2nd highest run scorer with 516 runs. He has now been one of first names of Mumbai’s team sheet for 4 years now even when the international players are playing due to his excellent all round ability.

A game changing player who comes highly reccomended by fellow WSX client Siddhesh Lad, he is considering a season in the Uk looking to join a progressive club offering a high standard of cricket.
