Not used at provincial level with the ball, he was effective for Montrose and during his first three seasons abroad, firstly for Stony Stratford CC (2011 & 2012) and a trip to Holland in 2013, joining HBS whom he would return to in 2018 for another Topklasse campaign.
In 2011, Sharn had a sensational start to his first overseas trip, with three hundreds in the first month of the season, Sharn was asked to turn out for the Northamptonshire 2nd XI. Three solid seasons were followed by a 5 year hiatus before a permanent move North saw him return to the Topklasse competition, whereby he scored 656 runs @ 38.59 in 2018 for HBS. He backed this up in 2019 with an outstanding summer, finishing as the leading runscorer in the country with 832 runs @ 52.00 with a best of 123. He chipped in with 4 wickets having been only used on 3 occasions.
In Summer 2020, despite limitations around COVID, Sharn linked with Alexandra Park CC and has been outstanding for them. Leading the club to promotion to Division 3 of the Middlesex League as they finished runner’s up in 2021. His 832 runs @ 59.43 played a major role in the club realising its ambition of promotion to the higher division. He backed this up in 2022 with an even better 825 runs @ 63.46.
With the benefit of a Portugese passport, Sharn has relocated permanently to the United Kingdom and will be located in the Greater London/Hertfordshire/Essex region from summer 2020 and on an ongoing basis.
