Shashika is another one of WSX talented left arm orthodox spinners currently playing first class cricket for the powerful Ragama CC side. He started his cricketing career at St.Servatius college in Matara where he represented all age groups upto under 19 level. During his last college year at under 19 level he took 47 wickets. Impressive college displays saw him drafted into the Sri Lanka under 19 squad for the 2018 Asia cup held in Bangladesh. He has a fine tournament where Sri Lanka finished runners up and Shashika finished the 2nd highest wicket taker with 11 wickets for just 83 runs in 5 matches.
He made his first class debut for Lankan CC in 2018 before moving to the star studded Ragama CC side and made his debut for them in March 2020. He really took the set up by storm taking 19 wickets in 4 matches with a best of 6-45 against Colts CC cleaning up their middle and lower order in a team that boasted the likes of Sri Lankan great Angelo Matthews.
Shashika is so highly rated and would represent a fantastic option to any club looking for a dynamic left arm spinner.
