Shashrika Pussegolla

Shashrika is a well experienced top draw cricketer from the Sri Lankan First Class Structure who has been involved in First Class cricket from 2008 to present. He showed his promise from a very young age when he was the highest run scorer in the 2006 schools tournament scoring over 1000 runs.

Soon after his school career he joined the Nondescripts Cricket Club in 2007 playing alongside cricketing legends such as Kumar Sangakkara and Lasith Malinga. Over the years he has represented clubs at First Class level such as Chilaw Marians, Ragama, Bloomfield, Panadura, ACE and now Sebastianites CAC.

Shash has been a proven performer in the UK in 4 previous seasons to his name. A 2016 and 2017 stint with Barnoldswick CC scoring 1907 runs and taking 119 wickets. Then in 2018 and 2019 he played for Enfield CC in the Lancashire League, scoring 1676 runs and taking 107 wickets.

A very easy going, fun loving guy with excellent communications skills, Shash shows 100% commitment to ensuring the development of cricketers from kids to adults in his time in the UK. He is looking for a return for the 2023 season and being a proven performer at first class level and here in the UK, will surely be a popular pick.
