Shawn Tuitt

Shawn Tuitt is an attacking, Right-handed Top order Batsman and Right-Arm Off-Spinner. A british Citizen, Shawn has played much of his UK Cricket in the Greater London area, as originally he was from Montserrat but has resided in the UK since 2014.

A regular for the Leeward Islands and Montserrat through the age groups from U15 through to the U19 side, Shawn represented the senior Montserrat side as well in the Leewards T20 competition amongst other domestic tournaments. He re-located to the UK in 2014 in order to seek some better long-term cricket opportunites and having initially joined St Albans West Indies CC, he moved to Botany Bay CC in 2017 but returned in the May to the Caribbean to play for Montserrat in the Leeward Island 50/50 tournament and also play in the Cool & Smooth T20 tournament in Antigua.

In 2018, he joined Fives and Heronians CC in Essex where he helped the club get promoted to Division 1 off the back of 770 runs @ 40.53 and also chipping in with 20 wickets. He joined Oakfield Parkonians CC for the 2019 summer, scoring 662 runs @ 31.52 and chipping in with 21 wickets @ 18.95.

In the disaster that was 2020, Shawn played in some friendly games for Avebury CC, scoring 238 runs @ 47.60 and chipping in with 8 wickets in 7 games. He re-joined them in the 2021 summer, which was a mixed bag and one that would require quite a lot of reflection performance-wise, with a poor return for Avebury CC but positive performances in the Bedford League on Sundays.

Shawn bounced back in 2022 in amazing fashion, pumping 875 runs @ 97.22 for Avebury CC, who showed faith in him after a tough 2021. He was excellent with the ball too, bagging 24 wickets @ 20.42 as well. He returned for 2023/24 scoring 1345 runs and bagging 55 wickets across the two last seasons.

An enthusiastic, intelligent and hardworking cricketer, Shawn is seeking the opportunity to get his career headed in the right direction long term and making his way into a top premier League outfit is a major priority.
