Siddhessh is a ferocious talent who is a tenacious batsman with a steady temperament. He swiftly ascended through the age-group circuit in Mumbai to make his first-class debut in November 2013, at the age of 21. He showed his mettle in just his second match, scoring impressive fifties against a Delhi attack that included Ashish Nehra. After battling through injuries and illness, he came back to have good seasons in 2014-15 and 2015-16.

Often batting in the middle order, he stood out for his calmness under pressure and sensible approach to batting with the tail. These traits came to the forefront in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy final, when he scored 88 and was instrumental in the 103-run, 10th-wicket stand that set up Mumbai’s victory. In the 2015 Indian Premier League, he was selected to play for the Mumbai Indians. On April 10th 2019, he finally made IPL debut for Mumbai Indians against Kings XI Punjab in 2019 Indian Premier League replacing the injured Rohit Sharma. He hit a six off the first ball he faced in his IPL career scoring 15 runs in the match before being dismissed. In November 2019 Kolkata Knight Riders have included him for IPL 2020.

His first class career continued to go from strength to strength, he was the leading run-scorer for Mumbai in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, with 652 runs in seven matches. In August 2018, he was released from his squad in the Quadrangular Series and added to India Red’s team for the second match of the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy In the match, he scored a half-century in each innings, and was named the man of the match, as India Red progressed to the final.

In August 2019, he was named in the India Green team’s squad for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy. In the 2020 IPL Auction he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for 2020 Indian Premier League but not played single match. Having missed out on selection in the IPL for 2021 tournament he has fulfilled a dream of playing cricket in England joining ECB Northern league club Chorley. He has just finished his debut season in the Uk scoring 1099 runs at 42.27 and chipped in with 32 wickets. He has also played 10 matches as a sub pro in Division 1 of the Lancashire league for Darwen CC where he has scored 380 runs at 43 and has taken 13 wickets at 10. A proven performer he is looking to return to the Uk for the 2022 season and join a progressive club offering a high standard of cricket. He is a fantastic playing option and a great lad to boot.

He returned in 2022, joining Darwen CC in the Lancashire League, piling on 1083 runs @ 57.00 and helping himself to 38 wickets @ 17.79 with a best of 5-67.
