Siddhesh Veer

Siddhesh is one the brightest prospects coming through the youth system in India. Prolific at youth level for his state Maharashtra he was also part of the Indian Under 19 side from 2018 to 2020. In the 2018-19 season he was the leading allrounder, 4th on the list of run scorers at India Under 19 level with 820 runs including 2 centuries and 28 wickets including 2 five wicket hauls. In the same year he scored a match winning and unbeaten 103* for India Blue against India Red.

In the 2018-18 season he was voted man of the match for India Under 19’s against New Zealand Under 19’s in the Quadrangular series with an impressive knock of 72. He then continued his impressive performances with another man of the match performance agaisnt Afghanistan with 82 off 81 balls and 2 important wickets.

He was selected for the ICC 2019-20 World Cup and was man of the match against Sri Lanka in the very first match scoring 44 of 27 balls. Siddhesh’s next goal is to now make his first class debut but was also looking to fulfil a lifetime ambition when he started his cricketing journey to play senior cricket in the UK.

He did that, somehwat, in 2022, joining Barton CC in Devon for a stint that was unfortunately cut short as he started to get the runs flowing with selection for an India U23 camp. He scored 270 runs @ 33.75 with a best of 127* against Kilmington CC. He also bagged 15 wickets @ 16.60 with a best of 6-21 against Thorverton CC.

On his return to India, Siddhesh made his professional debut for his home state, scoring a ton in just his 3rd innings.

A player with a massive future in the game, he is looking to join a Premier League club for next season. He represents a high class option to any club looking for an exciting allrounder with talent to burn.
