Steve Stolk

Steve Stolk is one of South African Cricket’s brightest young talents. Built like a rugby player, the powerful young man has box office written all over him, as a hard-hitting Top/Middle Order Batsman and very capable Right-arm Fast/Medium seamer. A junior star, he represented South Africa at the 2024 ICC Under 19 World Cup which was a just reward for a stellar youth career and was picked up by the Pretoria Capitals in the 2024 edition of the SA20.

Having represented his native Northerns since the U12 level, whilst at Lynnwood Lower School, he represented Menlo Park High School and starred in the Lenasia Premier League T20 in the 2/3 seasons post-COVID. His form for Menlo and the Northerns age group saw him picked in the Junior Proteas as they played host to the worlds best junior players. His 228 runs saw him sit as SA’s 2nd highest run scorer and 11th overall. Known for his aggressive batting style, he rose to prominence during the 2024 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he broke the record for the fastest fifty in the tournament’s history, reaching the milestone in just 13 balls against Scotland.

Steve has gone on to enjoy success with the SA Emerging side as well as making his Titans T20 Debut in April 2024 and in Jan/Feb 2025, made three appearances in the SA20. He was picked up by the Joburg Super Kings for the 2026 SA20.

2025 saw Steve head to the UK for the first time, linking with Audley CC in the ECB North Staffs South Cheshire League, scoring 791 runs @ 41.63 with a brutal last game 215* (140) including 33 boundaries (10 sixes) against league strugglers Alsager.

He returned in 2026, joining Waringstown CC in the NCU Premier League in Northern Ireland, smoking 1042 runs @ 61.29 to go with 17 wickets for the summer.

Seeking a further season abroad, Steve will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a brutal top order batsman that can contribute with the ball as well. Steve is an ECB Level 2 coach.
