Supun Madusanka

Supun Madusanka is a skilful all-rounder from Sri Lanka and somewhat of a late bloomer. With no glittering youth career to speak of, Supun is currently playing for Police Sports Club in Sri Lankan Domestic Cricket whom he debuted for in the 2018-19 season. A very capable strike leg-spinner, Supun is an explosive left-hander that is best suited to the middle order.

A solid performer across all three formats, Supun has become an integral member of Police CC. A match winner with bat or ball, he played some crucial knocks against some of the biggest names in Sri Lankan Cricket. With ball in hand, he’s been a genuine wicket-taker with impressive economy and strike rate.

Supun spent a few seasons playing in Australia prior to making his professional debut. Based in Victoria, he played for Old Paradians CC, Yarraleen CC and Eastern Maroons CC, leaving Australia with an impressive double of 2000 runs/200 wickets.

Following his return to Sri Lanka and establishing himself as a regular on the Professional scene, he headed to the UK in 2022, joining Collingham & District CC in the ECB Notts Premier League, scoring 220 runs @ 27.50 and bagging 27 wickets @ 15.26 in just 14 games.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Supun will be a great pick up for any club seeking a genuine spin-bowling all-rounder, with his leggies and big-hitting surely able to have a greater impact with a full season of availability.
