Takudzwanashe Kaitano is one of Zimbabwe’s brightest talents. A dashing right-hander with a 360 degree style of play, he is somewhat of a later bloomer, having not appeared in the First Class game until he was 23. With a strong work ethic and commitment to his game, he has become one of Zimbabwe’s best performed domestic Bastmen. The talented opener made his Test Debut for Zimbabwe in July 2021 and received his maiden ODI call-up in January 2022.

Having made his professional debut in 2016-17, an indifferent start to his career saw him drift in and out of the Rhinos franchise. However, with hard work and dedication to his game, he has bounced back to become a real shining light of Zimbabwean domestic cricket over the last couple of years.

Season 2020-21 was a breakout for Takudzwa, scoring 549 runs @ 45.75 across both 4-day and 1-Day Cricket. He backed this up with 544 runs @ 36.26 in summer 2021-22 and is now a regular name in the conversation when it comes to National team selection.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2023, Takudzwa will be a great pick up for any club seeking a classy top order Batsman that can keep wicket as well as roll the arm over with some part time Off-Spin.
