Tanatswa Bechani

Tanatswa Bechani is a skillful spin bowler from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. A Right-handed Batsman that spends most of time in the tail in the professional game but at premier league level, steadies the ship in the middle/lower order as skipper of Queens Cricket Club. His dominant skill is his crafty Slow left-arm orthodox Spin. He represents the Tuskers Franchise in the Zimbabwe domestic competitions.

Somewhat of a late bloomer, the Bulawayo born and bred spinner burst onto the scene during COVID, starring for Queens in the National Premier League in late 2020 upon the resumption of Cricket in Zimbabwe. His 153 runs @ 30.60 and 22 wickets @ 10.04 in just 8 games was an excellent return and as a result was drafted into the Tuskers squad.

He debuted for the Tuskers T20 in 2021 and in late 2022 made both his First Class and 50-over debuts. Tanatswa drifted in and out of the side over the last few years but some strong 2025 form for Queens in the National Premier League has been him feature frequently through 2025-26.

Seeking his first season in the United Kingdom in 2026, Tanatswa will be a good pick up for any club looking to add a quality left-arm spinner that is capable of contributing down the order this summer. Tanatswa is a keen coach and looks forward to getting his formal qualifications during the season.
