Tapiwa Mufudza is an experienced Spin-bowling All-Rounder from Harare in Zimbabwe. A tidy right-handed Middle/Lower Order Batsman, Tapiwa puts a high price on his wicket regardless of the match format. His main discipline is his Right-arm Off Spin, which he now delivers with more consistency and control than he has done over the last 10 years in the professional game. Tapiwa made his first professional appearance for the Mountaineers in the 2011-12 summer and has gone on to crack the 100 top flight games milestone in summer 2021-22.

Having been on the cusp for Zimbabwe at various stages of his career, Tapiwa represented the Zimbabwe A side on a number of occasions in 2015 & 2016 off the back of excellent domestic form but it wasn’t until 2021 that he was invited to the big dance, selected in the 15-man T20I Squad to face Pakistan in April 2021. Whilst he didn’t play, the fact he is very much in the selectors sights is an encouraging reward for his persistence.

Tapiwa has 3 previous seasons of experience in the UK, 2014/2017 with Cookham Dean CC in the Thames Valley League and a 2019 stint with Dumfries in Scotland. All 3 stints produced outstanding returns, bagging 132 wickets in 60 games in the UK.

Seeking a return to the UK, Tapiwa will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a genuine strike spinner that is no mug with the bat for next summer. Tapiwa is an ECB Level 2 coach.
