Terance Warde is a hard-working all-rounder from St Kitts & Nevis in the Leeward Islands region of the Caribbean. A patient, right-handed batsman who is a reliable middle order performer, his economical and controlled Right-arm Spin has given the Leeward Islands Hurricanes an excellent containing option with the ball in both red and white ball cricket. A regular selection for the Leeward Islands U19 from the age of 16, Terance has been one of the regions most consistent performers through the age groups and at 19 was selected to represent St Kitts in the ill-fated Standford T20 in 2008. Terance has gone on to be one of St Kitts & Nevis’s best in the Leeward Islands Cricket Board regional tournaments. He was also selected in 2018-19 for Liberta in the Cool & Smooth T20 played in Antigua and Barbuda.

Eventually, his consistency for St Kitts would see him rewarded with a First Class debut for the Leeward Islands against the Winward Islands, at 28 in October 2017. Wickets in both innings and a typically patient 28 (87) saw him make a decent contribution to his first Professional game. Terance then went on to make his List A debut for the Leeward Islands against Jamaica in February 2018, unfortunately getting a “thanks for coming” as he was not required to bat or bowl. Regardless, he has been a consistent selection ever since, racking up 46 games for the Leewards since his first appearance in 2017.

Having quietly gone about his business for the Hurricanes, Terance put in a career best performance with the bat against Trinidad & Tobago in the 2018-19 WICB Regional 4-day competition, scoring a marathon 83 (244) and setting up a First Innings lead in a drawn fixture. He bagged his best bowling figures in the same season, spinning the Leewards to a 34-run win against a fancied Barbados side, picking up a 2nd innings 4-33 (15.5).

Terance had his first season in the UK in the 2021 summer, coming over as a late replacement for Whitehaven CC and was outstanding, scoring 754 runs @ 53.86 with a season-saving best of 102* on the final day of the season and bagging 29 wickets @ 19.66 with a best of 4-31 in an excellent first foray into the UK club cricket world.

Terance returned in 2022, joining Egerton CC for their GMCL Premier League campaign at the conclusion of the Cricket West Indies First Class season as a late signing for the club. The late start kept him to just 10 matches but his 278 runs @ 27.80 and 24 wickets @ 15.00 were enough to help the club to retain its Premier League position.

He returned to Whitehaven for the 2023 season and picked up where he left off with runs and wickets, scoring 893 runs @ 63.79 to go with 24 wickets at 17.08.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Terance will be a great pick up for any UK club seeking a genuine spin-bowling all-rounder that is also a keen coach having completed a Development coaching qualification through the West Indies Cricket Board as well as his ECB Level 2.
