Thomas Brown

Thomas Brown is an exciting prospect from Adelaide, Australia. A Tall Right-arm Off Spinner, Tom is also a very capable Right-handed Middle Order Batsman who is comfortable batting anywhere from 4 to 7. A schoolboy star, he completed his education at Adelaide High School and was a standout for the State age group sides at the Australian National Championships at U17 and U19 level.

A clean striker of the ball, Tom makes use of his long levers and big hitting arc and is shaping up to be an outstanding top order prospect. Batting up the order in the the shorter formats, his 360 degree style of play sees him sit among the most talented young cricketers in the state and plays with a maturity beyond his years.

Tom’s most dominant discipline has always been his exceptional off-spin bowling. Coming from height, Tom doesn’t merely just contain as many tall spinners do. Bowling with genuine turn and bounce, through Cricket Australia testing, Tom’s Off-Spin is consistently measuring over 2,000rpm. His ability to generate overspin on the ball and his economy rate have made him quite the asset, particularly in white ball cricket.

Having come through the junior ranks for Adelaide CC, he switched to Adelaide University CC in summer 2022-23 and made his First Grade debut at just 16 for AUCC. Since making his first appearance in the senior side, that is where he has stayed, across all formats. He has split his time between AUCC and the recently former SACA U19 side that participate in the Premier Competitions. All of this has impressively been whilst still finishing school.

Summer 2023-24 has been a breakout season for Tom, scoring 641 runs @ 49.31 and bagging 33 wickets @ 23.00 across all formats.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, Tom joined Liverpool powerhouses, Ormskirk CC and was excellent first time around, picking up 60 wickets in all comps for the club.

Tom will be an outstanding pick up for any UK club seeking a Top Order Batsman that is also a frontline spinner with great economy and is a genuine wicket-taking threat. Tom is a Cricket Australia Level One accredited coach and holds a UK Passport.
