Thomas Rogers is an incredibly talented young Batsman from Victoria, Australia. A brutal left-handed opener, Thomas is a white-ball star in the making and has shown, despite the relatively short career to date, that he can perform on the biggest stage for both Victoria in the domestic state competitions as well as the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.

Having progressed through the Cricket Victoria pathways, he made his Premier Cricket debut for Melbourne University and spent a number of seasons with the students before a move to Ringwood CC in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. He represented Victoria in the Cricket Australia Toyota Futures League State 2nd XI competition but his professional debut came under unusual circumstances.

Called into the Melbourne Stars side as one of six replacement players during the 2021–22 Big Bash League season after ten members of the original squad became unavailable due to contracting COVID-19, it set his career wheels in motion. After hitting 32 (25) on debut, Thomas went on to be one of the Stars best performed batters and has held his place in the side despite the most unlikely of initial opportunities.

Having gone on to debut for Victoria in the 50-Over competition, he struck a career best 196 (142) against New South Wales on Valentines Day 2024, hitting 15 fours and 15 sixes in a fantastic display.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, Thomas will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a prolific top order batsman that can contribute with the ball via his part-time Leg Spin, which has proved more than useful in Victorian Premier Cricket over the years.
