Tian Koekemoer

Tian Koekemoer is a high quality all-rounder originally from South Africa’s northern province of Limpopo. A classy left-handed Top/Middle Order Batsman, Tian is equally adept ball in hand, opening the bowling for Eastern Province in the Cricket South Africa 3-day competition throughout the early part of his career.

A former CSA Rural Cricketer of the year, Tian has gone on to become a regular fixture in both National & International Varsity tournaments for TUKS, NMMU and also the South African Universities sides. He made his First Class and List A debut in October 2015-16, taking two wickets in each of his first two games to go with a solid 46 (94) and a handy 19 (22) at the back end of a 290+ run chase in his first professional One Day game against Easterns. Tian switched to the Kwa-Zulu Natal Inland Tuskers ahead of the 2021-22 summer.

In summer 2022, Tian linked with Tickhill CC in the ECB Yorkshire South Premier League, a club he’d previously agreed to join but was robbed of the opportunity through injury in years passed. He made the wait worth it, scoring 1047 runs @ 49.86 and bagging 47 wickets with an incredible best of 10-38 against Barnsley Woolley Miners CC.

Tian is a genuinely consistent performer that, with his ability to add steele to the middle order and his ability to open the bowling, will make him a popular option for UK clubs. A genuinely nice guy and a very talented cricketer to boot, Tian will be a great signing for any UK club.
