Tom Whitney is an exciting young prospect from Brisbane, Australia. A seam-bowling all-rounder, Tom has been a regular selection in a number of representative teams throughout his cricket journey so far. A Right-arm Fast/Medium seamer, Tom is also a clean-hitting Right-hander that has a big arc and hits a long ball. He is currently representing Western Suburbs DCC in the QLD Premier Cricket Competition.

Having represented his native Queensland in the Australian National Championships at both U17 and U19 level, Tom was earmarked as one of the country’s most promising young seamers and was duly selected to represent Australia at the 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup in the West Indies. Playing 5 matches at the tournament, Tom bagged 7 wickets @ 27.42 with a best of 3-20 against the hosts, West Indies.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2023, Tom will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking an exciting young seam bowling talent that we’re sure will prove to be more than adversarial to the local club bowlers with his ability to hit the long ball.
