Tristan Elam

Tristan Elam is a talented Top Order Batsman from Canelands, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. A patient right-hander and Leg-Spinner, Tristan has been a regular in the prestigious Maritzburg College 1st XI during his final years at the renowned cricket school that has produced the likes of Jonty Rhodes, David Miller and probably its most famous old boy, Kevin Pietersen.

A compact and technically sound batsman, Tristan is content to bat longer periods while those around him play the attacking roles. An attacking off-spinner, Tristan is was one of the leading wicket takers in the 2nd XI but as he progressed to the 1st XI, his bowling became more sparingly used but it is something he wishes to continue to work on during the next summer.

In both 2018 & 2019, Tristan spent brief spells with Ashby Hastings CC in the Leicestershire League whilst on leave for school holidays. He scored 227 runs @ 37.83 in just 8 games with a best of 95 coming against Broomleys CC in June 2019. He returned to the UK in 2021, joining Blythe CC in the North Staffs/South Cheshire League, scoring 525 runs @ 22.83 in a summer that started with early promise but drifted by the end of summer.

He joined Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers CC in 2022 and over the following 3 seasons, scored almost 3,000 runs for the club and played an instrumental role in the club achieving back to back promotions.

British Born, Tristan now resides back in the UK and will be a great pick up for any club seeking to add some top order resistance to their line up next summer that can also bowl tidy leg-spin. Tristan is also keen to help coach.
