Trystan Kennedy

Trystan Kennedy is a highly-rated young cricketer from Sydney’s Northern Suburbs. A hard-working and committed cricketer, a by-product of the South African influence at home, Trystan is also a tidy Right-arm Off Spinner but without doubt, his main skill set is his well-drilled, Right-Handed, top order batting. Overseen by Elite coaches at the prestigious Knox Grammar School, where he has completed his schooling, he has opted to study at the University of Technology, Sydney.

A Gordon DCC junior, Trystan was graded as a 14 year old in 2018 and progressed through the grades to becoming a regular in the 1st XI side by the back end of the 2022-23 summer. His ability to bat for long periods and convert starts to notable scores reinforces the opinion of many in the know within Sydney Premier Cricket that this is a young man to watch for the long term. He was selected to represent NSW Metro at the Australian U19 Championships in summer 2023-24 and scored over 700 runs for Gordon in the 1st XI/Poidevin-Gray sides.

In summer 2024-25, Trystan moved to Eastern Suburbs DCC and following some continued consistent form, was selected for a NSW Colts side in a friendly against Victoria, scoring a patient 39 (81) as the Blue racked up a huge first innings lead.

Trystan has one previous season of UK experience, a 2023 stint with Old Owens CC in the ECB Hertfordshire Premier League. It was a productive summer, as he scored 690 runs @ 53.08 in an impressive display. He also represented Leicestershire 2nd XI during the summer.

TK returned to England in summer 2025, joining Normandy CC in the Surrey League, scoring 776 runs @ 38.80 in a solid return for a player with so much upward curve.

Trystan holds a British Passport and will use his time abroad to continue developing his skills and spend as much time in the middle as he can. Trystan holds a Cricket Australia Level One coaching qualification. Trystan would also like to use the summer to work on his Off Spin bowling.
